The decision to work on your relationship and self through therapy can be daunting. I am here to guide you through.

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counselling from the University of Central Florida. I have completed extensive training in various approaches to couples therapy, among them an externship in Emotionally Focused Training, Gottman levels 1 and 2, and am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to deal with trauma. I’m the only sex therapist in Canada who has been trained in the administration of hormones for sexual concerns, health and menopause. I’m also a Certified Sex Therapist who values a biological alignment to mental health and welcomes working collaboratively with other medical providers. I’m a member of the American and Canadian Marriage and Family Association and BESTCO (Board of Sex Therapy and Counselling in Ontario).

I was born and raised in Iceland and my expertise has been sculpted by growing up with liberal attitudes towards sex and sexuality.

My clients range from adolescents to adults, and couples. My areas of expertise are: Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Trauma Recovery, Grief Support, Relationship Counselling, Separation/Divorce Support, Communication Issues, Gender Identity, Transgender Care, Sexual Identity, Personal Development and Sex Therapy.

I’m an integrative therapist and draw my approach from Solution Focused Therapy, CBT and Emotionally Focus Therapy.

Session cost is $180 and can often be reimbursed through insurance.
